Objectives:1.To investigate the nutrition,fatigue status and nutrition and dietary behavior problems of seedling athletes in Shanghai Sports School,to provide a basis for taking individual dietary interventions,keeping fitness levels and helping relieve physical fatigue of seedling athletes.2.To study the effect of Lycium barbarum polysaccharides and Lycium barbarum polysaccharides compatibility of tea polyphenols on body weight,swimming time,hepatic glycogen reserves,clearance of blood urea nitrogen and lactate,and to evaluate the effect of relieving physical fatigue in mice,and to explore its mechanism.Methods:1.Research on nutrition and fatigue status of seedling athletes in Shanghai Sports School Dietary survey was conducted by 24-h recall and weighing method for consecutive three days;physical assessment(including height,weight,fat mass,fat ratio,fat free mass,muscle mass,total body water)was conducted by body composition analyzer;we detected the red blood cell,hemoglobin,serum ferritin,creatine kinase,blood urea,testosterone and cortisol for biochemical examination by auto biochemical analyzer;besides,we investigated nutrition and dietary behavior knowledge-attitude-practice through online questionnaires,and analyze the relationships between dietary intakes and behavior in athletes.2.The effect of Lycium Barbarum Polysaccharides in terms of Physical Fatigue on mice 336 specific pathogen free(SPF)male KM mice were randomly divided into four lots,each lot was divided into seven groups: three LBP groups(LBP-low,medium and high)and three compatibility groups(Compatibility-low,medium and high),normal saline(NS-C)for contrast.Each group was gavaged either LBP,compatibility solution or normal saline at 0.2ml/10 g body weight daily for 15 days.On the last day,we detected the forced swim time,the hepatic glycogen storage,the serum urea nitrogen levels and the clearance rate of blood lactic acid on mice.Results:1.Dietary survey revealed that total energy intake of seeding athletes was too low,the total energy intake was insufficient,the protein and fat was over-taken while the carbohydrates was in deficiency;the intake of water soluble vitamins and minerals was inadequate;dietary structure of athletes was imbalanced: they had insufficient intake of milk,beans,vegetables and fruits;energy for three meals was imbalanced: they had too high energy for dinner and too low energy for breakfast and lunch.The overweight and obesity ratio of Shanghai seedling athletes was 18.84% and 2.89%.Biochemical detection revealed that red blood cell,hemoglobin,blood urea and cortisol levels were under normal range while creatine kinase and testosterone levels were beyond the normal reference range,there is a certain fatigue phenomenon exist.Shanghai seedling athletes had poor nutrition knowledge,indifferent attitudes as well as inactive behavior.2.The fatigue experiment for animals revealed that: Compared to NS-C,LBP-M and LBP-H groups prolonged the swimming time by 34.79% and 30.95% significantly,LBP-L,M,H groups increased glycogen reserves by 35.96%,55.17%,43.04%,reduced blood urea nitrogen by 12.36%,13.87%,14.67% and blood lactate acid levels by 9.36%,13.65%,23.36%;the C-L,M,H groups prolonged the swimming time of mice by15.83%,36.71%,30.10% significantly,and C-L,M,H groups increased hepatic glycogen reserves by 45.93%,60.02%,66.96%,reduce blood urea nitrogen by 15.58%,16.08%,20.30% and blood lactate acid levels by 16.41%,26.67%,22.35%;the compatibilitygroups were more efficient in increasing hepatic glycogen levels and reducing blood lactic acid than LBP intervention.Conclusion:1.Dietary nutrients intake of seedling athletes in Shanghai Sports School was not balanced,as excess and deficiency phenomena coexisted,the dietary structure was irrational,nutrition and dietary behavior was not ideal;there is a certain fatigue in seedling athletes,of which coaches and athletes themselves should pay their attention to so that it can prevent the athletes from fatigue damage.2.In the experimental dose range,Lycium barbarum polysaccharides and Lycium barbarum polysaccharides compatibility of tea polyphenols could effectively alleviate physical fatigue in mice.Meanwhile,the compatibility group has superior effect than LBP alone in relieving physical fatigue on mice.
