Background and ObjectiveIn the support of the cervical cancer early diagnosis and treatment in countryside of Xinmi, through ask the epidemiological questions as the cognition about cervical cancer and the willingness of the cervical cancer screening to get the message of correlation factors with screening compliance. At the same time, through analyzing the results of macroscopic observation screening (VIA/VILI) to get the message of cervical cancer early diagnosis and treatment in local investigate population. For do this we can provide references for further cervical cancer prevention in the countryside of China.MethodsWe used the cluster sampling method to selected the screening population as local women aged 30~59 with no history of hysterectomy and other contraindi-cation to attend the screening project in Goutang town Xinmi city Henan province which with high incidence rate. All the people who attended the screening must sign the inform consent. First we used a well designed questionnaire to gather the epidemiological data. Then used the visual inspection (VIA/VILI) as initially screening method to carried out cervical cancer screening and obtain information of cervical cancer early diagnosis and treatment in the screening population. Those women who were diagnosed should carry out the corresponding treatment. All the results were input and command with Visual FoxPro software, used SPSS14.0 software to analyze the data. Statistical method included ANOVA, Pearsonχ2-test and Fisher-test, and size of test were a=0.05.ResultsTotally 2049 people were completed the questionmaire survey and screened, and complaisance was 100%. The education of screen object was generally low,94.7% people completed junior high school or below, and primary school or below was 61.7%. The cognition of cervical cancer and screening motive were also low, especially in the low education population, and the difference was significance(P<0.05). The reason for participate in the screening was mainly attending of their own. The reason for not participate in the screening was because they did not want to go to hospital when they had no symptom, which rate reach to 66%, and the following were not understand the effect of screening and psycho-burden after the cancer result. Most of people had cognition for the necessary of screening and willingness to pray for it, but the competence of payment were low, and 88.3% of the people were willing to pay for the screening within¥100. Through the screening, there were 17 cases as CINII and above, and the detection rate was 0.83%. The rate of early diagnosis reach to 70.6%, and the rate of early treatment were all above 100% by carry on the treatment to CINII and the above cases. Analyzing the data in different age groups, it discovered that the highest detection rate of CIN was 35~39 age group(1.88%), and the highest detection rate of cervical cancer was 50~54 age group(1.80%).Conclusions1. Education background is the most important factor for the cognition of cervical cancer and screening aim.2. The most important factor to improve the early diagnosis rate and cured rate is to improve the cognition for the necessary of cervical cancer screening and treatment.3. VIA/VILI is suitable for the first cervical cancer screening in the countryside and faraway mountain area.4. It is a long way to prevent the cervical cancer, which needs the governments and health departments take a positive part in this process.
