Objective:1.This study is aimed to understand the quality of life in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and find the major factors which could affect the quality of life in Patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.2.32 patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease were investigated their quality of life by SGRQ and lung function.Methods:1.The method of patients selected was used by Cluster sampling.32 in outpatients with stable chronic obstructive Pulmonary disease(COPD) were selected from the Department of Respiratory Medicine.the first one Hospital of Dalian Medical University between August 2009 and April 2010.2. Acute patients selected to be in stable condition after one month.3. Diagnostic criteria is the diagnosis and treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease guidelines (2007) revision.4. The survey used three questionnaires and lung function. The first part of questionnaires is a general survey of patients. SGRQ is the second part. The patients quality of life were measured with COPD questionnaire of SGRQ. The third of questionnaires is MRC. The four of which were completed by Patients in the day of investigation. Weight average method was used to calculate the SGRQ, three subscales of which were calculated separately. Final scores were educed after disposal, and the range was 0-100 with a lower score representing the better health status of patients with COPD.5.The inspection of lung function was completed by one doctor. Patients were graded according the FEV1%and FEV1/FVC.6. SPSS 11.5 software was used for statistic analysis. Normal distribution resources were represented x±s and t test was used for statistic analysis. ANOVA was used for multi-sample comparision, and the multiple was using Pearsonχ2 was used t testing categorical data. Pearson Correlation analysis and stepwise regression analysis were used for analyzing influencing factors of quality of life.Results:1.SGRQ total score and three part are consistent with normal distribution. SGRQ total score is (49±15).Symptom score is (51±18). Activity limitation score is (62±17). disease influence score is (42±18). Activity limitation score is the highest.2. The results of the investigation indicated that the correlations between the total score of SGRQ and the three score of subscales (respiration symptom, activity limitation and disease influence) were very good, which represented a good consistency in evaluation on symptoms, activities, psychological status of patients using SGRQ and the quality of life of Patients.3.There is no statistically significant between the general survey of patients (education, smoking, exercise, BMI and so on) and the patients quality of life.4.The course of disease and the patients quality of life is statistically significant.5. There is no statistically significant between the patients quality of life and FEV1%and FEV1/FVC.Conclusions:Quality of life of patients with COPD is generally low.Major influencing factors of Patient's quality of life are course of disease.Quality of life of patients would be improved by altering unhealthy living habits and making integrative exercise for recovery.
