Objective To investigate the total serum IgE level, allergen specific IgE antibody and allergen in the pediatric patients with atopic dermatitis (AD) in Yanbian university hospital Skin Clinic and it may provide certain scientific arguments for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of the pediatric patients with AD in Yanbian area.Methods 200 cases diagnosed as AD from 2006 March to 2009 March in Yanbian university hospital Skin Clinic were divided into infant group and children group, each group has 100 cases. and each group were divided into han and korean nationality that has 50 cases respectively.38 healthy children were chosen as control group. The total serum IgE level and allergen specific IgE antibody were analyzed by allergy screen automatic allergy screening system, All data were treated statistically by SPSS 10.0 software.Results (1) 57%(114/200) of patients on the total serum IgE level exceeded normal range. (2) 55.5%(111/200) of patients on allergen specific IgE antibody were positive. (3) 25%(50/200) of patients of allergen specific IgE antibody had positive reaction to one kind of allergen.19.5%(39/200) were positive to two kinds of allergen.11% (22/200) were positive reaction to over than two kinds of allergen. (4) 21.5%(43/200) in inhalation group of allergen specific IgE antibody were positive. (5) 23%(46/200) in ingestion group of allergen specific IgE antibody were positive. (6) 11.5%(23/200) in inhalation and ingestion group of allergen specific IgE antibody were positive. (7) The positive rate of specific allergen was higher, and the positive rate of milk was highest (22.5%), then was in beef and lamb meat (19.5%), dermatophagoids pteronyssinus and farinae(17.5%), molds (16%), seafood (8.0%) in order. (8) The specific allergen in infant group were milk (24%), beef and lamb meat (20%), dermatophagoids pteronyssinus and farinae (19%) and wheat (9%) in order. The specific allergen in children group were milk(21%), beef and lamb meat (19%), dermatophagoids pteronyssinus and farinae(16%) and wheat(9%) in order.Conclusion (1) the IgE synthesis in the pediatric patients with AD increased. (2) the pediatric patients with AD were positive reaction to over than two kinds of allergen. (3) The specific allergen in children group were milk, beef and lamb meat, dermatophagoids pteronyssinus and farinae and seafood in order. (4) there was no significant difference about the total serum IgE and allergen specific IgE antibody level between korea and han nationality.
