| ObjectiveExploring the efficency of Traditional Chinese Medicine based on the Aromatase inhibitor-associated bone loss in postmenopausal women with breast cancer, so as to provide clinical evidence for the clinical practice.Methods25 cases met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into 2 groups. Treatment group, of 12 cases:the traditional chinese medicine nourishing the kidney (twice a day 300ml one time)+exemestane (once a day)+calcium carbonate D600 (once a day); control group of 13 cases:Exemestane (once a day)+calcium carbonate D600 (once a day). Observed the lumbar spine bone mineral density, estrogen levels after 6 months'treatment and analyze the blood analysis, liver and kidney function changes every 3 months. All data were analysised by SPSS17.0.Results were expressed as mean±standard deviation, t test were used to evaluation.Results20 cases are put into our research practically, and 5 cases fell off i n the 25 cases. So 9 cases in treatment group and control group in 11 cas es practically. There is comparability and is not stastistical difference at the general between 2 groups (P> 0.05). After 6 months's treatment, bone mineral density showed significant changes in each groups (P<0.05), the change of bone mineral density was significant between two groups (P<0. 05).BMD decreased by 0.6% in the control group versus 3.7% in the treatme nt group, and this difference was statistically significant (P<0.05); Th e changes of estradiol 2 levels in the each groups were statistically si gnificant changes (P<0.05)after 6 months's treatment, the inhibition rate of estradiol 2 in testradiol treatment group and control group was 67.8% and 60.7%, respectively, and the difference was not statistically signify-cant (P> 0.05).ConclusionThese findings suggest that:compared with the control group, using the method of traditional chinese medicine based on nourishing the kidney can slowly the speed of bone loss caused by aromatase inhibitors; By contrasting the control group, using the traditional chinese medicine based on nourishing the kidney can keep good level of inhibition in vivo estradiol, which suggests that the traditional Chinese medicine based on nourishing the kidney does not increase the estrogen levels in blood. |
