Affection Of Tiaobu Feishen For BODE Index And Immune Function In Patients With COPD During Remission Stage

ObjectivesTo study the affection of Tiaobu Feishen on the BODE index (the body-mass, airflow obstruction, dyspnea, and exercise capacity index) and the immune function which including CD3+,CD4+,CD8+,CD4+/CD8+in patients with COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) during remission stage.MethodsTwenty-two COPD patients were treated with TiaobuFeishen and 19 patients in control group were treated with placebo. The BODE index and the plasma levels of CD3+,CD4+,CD8+,CD4+/CD8+were measured in all patients before and after treatment, being treated for 12 weeks together.The clinical effects of the treatment were observed.Result1. In the treatment group, the BODE index after the treatment was decreased (P<0.05);in the control group was no significance(P>0.05).2. In the treatment group, the plasm levels of CD3+,CD4+CD4+/CD8+after the treatment were increased obviously (P<0.01), the CD8+ was no significance (P>0.05);in the control group were no significance(P>0.05).3. The detection of BODE index and the immune function index (CD3+,CD4+,CD4+/CD8+) after treatment to compared, there is a significant improvement(P<0.01); the plasm level of CD8+has no influence after treatment (P>0.05).Conclusion"Tiaobu Feishen" can decrease the BODE index and increase the plasm levels of CD3+,CD4+,CD4+/CD8+in the models of COPD during remission stage, therefore, it can improve immune function, enhance the resistance of patients, and decrease attack frequence, reserve the disease progressing, improve the quality of life, improve the outcome of the patients.
