| Background and purpose:Generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) is a kind of common ailments and frequently-occurring diseases. With extensive and continued neurotic anxiety as the core。Mainly for the fear, nervousness and fear, and other varying degrees of anxiety, often accompanied by a significant body of anxiety, such as dry mouth, chest tightness, hyperventilation, palpitations, tinnitus, sweating, frequent urination and other autonomic hyperactivity, muscle tension and the movement of unrest. Seriously affect the health of patients, quality of life and social function of play, and even referred to as "the most suffering people of the world. " Western medicine is still no consensus on the causes of disease understanding, clinical drug treatment program is more mature and effective, but different degrees of side effects, long-term treatment, a heavier financial burden, especially for such drugs in patients with fear of contradiction concerns, resulting in low disease treatment. Combined with local cultural characteristics, Chinese medicine become a major situation in medicine in recent years, Chinese medicine on the disease cause and pathogenesis and treatment has conducted some exploratory research, we have a responsibility in this field and make more contribution for the benefit of the people. Objective:To explore the efficacy and safety of gui-pi decoction on treating type of deficiency of both the heart and spleen of GAD.Methods:Collected 60 cases of patients met the study criteria, according to the order No. visits combined random number table, the ratio of 1:1 is divided into treatment group and control group,30 cases in each treatment group. Patients in treatment group were treated in hospital pharmacies provided gui-pi decoction, morning and evening meal each service once per 100ml, the control group taking paroxetine hydrochloride (brand name:Shutan Luo, Zhejiang Jianfeng Pharmaceutical Limited Company, license number:State Yaozhun Zi H20040533) treatment, the initial dose of 20mg/day (after breakfast, taking), then adjust the dose as the condition changes to 40mg/day. Observed before and 1 week after treatment,2 weeks,4 weeks,6 weeks,8 weeks, changes in HAMA integral to evaluation of the effect the reduced rate, for 8 weeks. Income group were observed the TESS score, laboratory tests, evaluation of drug safety.Results:1. The end of the observation period, recovery of treatment group 18 cases, significant improvement in 6 cases,2 cases improved,3 cases invalid, the cure rate 62%, efficiency 89.7%. The control group were 18 cases,6 cases, 3 cases,3 cases, cure rate 60%,90% efficiency. Difference between the two groups had no significant (P>0.05).2. HAMA total score of two groups before divided has no significant difference, but the HAMA score of two groups was significantly decreased after treatment, with statistical significance (P<0.05), between the two groups showed no significant (P>0.05).3.There was no statistical significance of tess score between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:Gui-pi decoction is a kind of safe and effective treatments of generalized anxiety disorder, mild side effects, it shows that TCM treatment with differentiation of signs hit the individual pathogenesis, and worthy of further research.
