Application Of The MoCA To Test Inischemic Cerebrovascular Disease Non-dementia Patients Preliminary Results

ObjectiveTo know above 65 years old the ischemic cerebrovascular disease non-dimentia patient's MoCA value results.MethodsJanuary,2010 to March,2010 at the First Affiliated hospital of China Medical University department of Neurology, inpatients 33, the age from 65 years old to 89 years old carries on the MoCA scale measurement.Results65 years old to 70 year old of MoCA total score 24.1±3.1 point,71 years old to 75 year old of MoCA total score 21.1±3.1 point,76 to 80 year old of MoCA total score is 21.5±1.6the point, above 80 years old the MoCA total score is 18.8±1.0 point, the MoCA total score,every group has th differences p<0.05.65-70 years of age compared,other groups of abstract thinking has the differences p<0.05,the language skills of 76-80 years old group has the differences (p=0.03),the orientation ability (p=0.013) and the visual-spatial ability to execute total score (p=0.026) of the older than 80 years old group has the differences.ConclusionRegarding the ischemic cerebrovascular disease non-dimentia patients, along with age increase, the MoCA total score is reducing gradually, age is related to MoCA total score.
