Objects:To investigate the application of Montreal Congnitive Assessment(MoCA,Chinese version) in the Vascular Cognitive Impairment No Dementia(VCIND) after cerbral infarction;to study the relationship of Total Homocysteine(tHcy) and VCIND after cerbral infarction.Methods:110 inpationts were collected from the third xiangya hospital of central south university and the 163 hospital of liberation of Chinese from 2007.12 to 2008.12,50 as study group,30 as recovery control group,30 as healthy control group.Results:①There is intimate relationship between MoCa(Chinese version) and MMSE.(study group:r=0.956,P<0.001;healthy control group: r=0.972,P<0.001).②There were high correlation in all items of MoCA between the two assessment.There were high correlation in all items of MOCA between he assessment tools(ICC:0.754-1.000).③The total scores of MOCA were in the pation group and in the control group with significant difference between the twe groups (p<0.01)。④The concentration of tHcy in the study group is 17.36±5.348μmol/l,13.12±4.333μmol/l in the group of normal concentration after cerbral infarction,while 12.47±1.837μmol/l in the control group;there is the significant difference between the study group and the control group;P<0.01;there is the significant difference between the study group and the group of normal concentration after cerbral infarction,P<0.01; there is no difference between the group of normal concentration after cerbral infarction and the control group,P>0.05.⑤The Logistic regression analysis is used between VCIND after cerbral infarction and tHcy,TC,TG,LDL,tHcy,TC,TG,LDL are all the Risk factor of VCIND after cerbral infarction,but tHcy is the independent high risk of VCIND after cerbral infarction.Conclusions:MoCA(Chinese version) has favourable validity, reliability and sensitivity in evaluating VCIND after cerbral infarction. High concentration of serum tHcy is the independent high risk of VCIND after cerbral infarction.Routine test of serum tHcy and MoCA screening for cerebrovascular disease especially cerbral infarction is helpful for recognizing VCI patients early.
