Analysis Of 63 Patients With Adult-onset Still's Disease

ObjectiveTo investigate the etiology and pathogenesis of Adult Still(adult-onset still's diseases, AOSD)disease.MethodsAccording to the diagnostic criteria of 1992 Adult Still Disease Research Committee of Japan.A retrospective analysis of 63 patients with AOSD hospitalized from 2007 to 2010 at our Hospital.To analyse their clinical and laboratory features,diagnosis and treatment information.ResultsFever 98.4%,rash90%,arthralgia79%,sore throat56%.94%patients had elevation of leucocyte,100%patients had elevation of serum ferritin.ConclusionThe cause of adult-onset still's diseases is unclear,maybe associated with infection,the immune response.Clinical features are characterized by fever,rash,arthralgia and sore throat. Laboratory test showed elevation of leucocyte and serum ferritin; antinuclear antibody and blood culture were negative,the diagnosis must be ruled out other diseases,it is an independent disease,most patients responded to corticosteroids well.
