ObjectiveRectal sensation and compliance reflect the important feature of rectal motor function。They may affect the defecation function if it changes. This article is to seek to test the rectal sensory thresholds and compliance, evaluation significance of anal sphincter function of children that after transanal one-stage endorectal pull through operation for Hirschsprung's disease.MethodsWe followed up forty-two cases who were in our hospital over half a year via operation for Hirschsprung's disease by CTD-SYNECTICS POLYGRAM HR high-resolution multi-channel detector of gastrointestinal function. The followed time is between six to thirty-six months, average 22.6 month. Before the test,we often ask some questions about defecation such as daily defecation frequency, control function, sewage and fecal incontinence will be the situation, then take the rectal function tests at the same time. It includes resting anal canal pressure, rectal anal inhibition reflexes(RAIR), rectal sensation threshold and rectal compliance.ResultsThe bowel of 85.8%(36/42) patients are normal, without any clinical symptoms, only 4.7%(2/42) are constipation and 9.5%(4/42) are pollution. Detection indicators constipation group (2/42) and sewage will be group (4/42), resting anal canal pressure were (167±36 mmHg) and (151±107 mmHg) and the control group (161±64mmHg), compared to constipation group in the other three groups, but they group was significantly lower pollution, reduced anal anal canal in each group after the maximum pressure values were sig(?)ticantly increased; anorectal reflex recovery was 9.5%(4/42); manometry results (46.0±2.3ml) and (27.3±2.5ml), constipation group was slighily higher rectal sensory thresholds, while the pollution will be set lower rectal sensory thresholds; rectal compliance were (0.62±0.09 ml/mmHg) and (0.55±0.22 ml/mmHg), and the normal control group was (1.22±0.17 ml/mmHg), compared with constipation group and the group will both reduce pollution, (P<0.05) statistically significantly.ConclusionsRectal sensation was improved after operation for Hirschsprung's disease closer to normal. Some cases that have occurred of the bowel dysfunction may be related to rectal mucosa, rectal compliance, sensory abnormalities. Transanal treatment of Hirschsprung's disease get better bowel function.
