Objective:To analyze the indication of arthroscope by examining the correlations between cartilage injury degree confirmed by MRI and postoperative effect.Method:86 cases were selected, among of which,44 were male,42 were female, aged from 46 to 67 years(mean 56.3 years). Arthrodial cartilage of knee was graded by ICRS MR, and by Kellgern Laqrence X ray. Follow-up was performed in 12-30 months after operation, meanwhile, Lysholm score was done. Results:Among of 86 knees in 86 cases, cartilage injury degree of knees was graded as follows:4 grade in 30 cases,3 grade in 22 cases,2 grade in 20 cases,1 grade in 12 cases, 0 grade in 2 cases, mean grade 2.78±1.138. Postoperative Lysholm score was 59 to 100(94.17±7.556), correlation coefficient (r)=-0.152, P value=0.156>0.05.Although the results had no correlations between cartilage injury degree and Lysholm score, negative correlation tendency existed. X-ray of knees was graded as follows:4 grade in 0 cases,3 grade in 24cases,2 grade in 38 cases,1 grade in 17 cases,0 grade in 7 cases, mean grade 2.16±0.67,The correlation coefficient was-0.836 with negative correlations (P= 0.025<0.05), between postoperative Lysholm score and K/L grade.Conclutions:The patients with higher grade of knee cartilage injury degree confirmed by MRI (1.5T)had worse effect after operation, the grade is not a gold standard as a operation indication in arthroscope procedure. The K/L grade in X ray had important effect.
