A Survey On Drug Regimens In Asthmatics In Jinan

Background:Currently, bronchial asthma is the main chronic diseases danger to public health.Asthma is associated with mast cells, eosinophils, and T lymphocytes.The chronic inflammatory disease of respiratory tracts characterised by reversible bronchial obstruction and a hyperreactivity of bronchuses.The clinical features of it ofen includes repeated relapsing breathing,shortness of breath,chest tightness and cough.Asthma has attracted increasing attention in recent years.The objective of the treatment of asthma is to reduce attack,improve respiratory function and prevent respiratory tracts from thickening and narrowing.Anti-inflammatory and immune therapy are considered the basic therapy of bronchial asthma.But because of vast territory and large in population in our country, there are many differences in standards of living,diagnosis and treatment of disease and medical service level, so the irrational conditions on using of antiasthmatic drugs are universal,especially the farmers hold the great majority of our country population.Our data might represent the prevalence of asthma in Jinan,which could be indicated to asthma prevention and management in specific populations in the future.Purpose:1. Objective To investigate the medications in patients with bronchial asthma in Jinan area.2. Compare the difference of medication of asthma patients between urban and rural areas in Jinan.Methods:Random epidemiological data and follow-up results were employed for statistical analysis.we have got 58 neighborhood committees and 40 villages. Use scene questionnaire survey.20 percent of investigators are respiratory physicians, dermatologists,E.N.T.doctors and intern doctors in Qilu Hospital of Shandong University.80 percent of investigators are the students of clinical medicine of Shandong University.The investigation teams go to village committees and neighborhood committees which have been extracted.Before conducting the investigation,investigators study the diagnostic criteria of asthma,popular asthma drugs,concepts in questionnaire and methods of completing forms. Starting the investigation at the same time. Based on the section of asthma in《The questionnaire survey of main allergy diseases of China》.the data is displayed by computer,Results:1.198 asthmatics were diagnosed based on case history,clinical signs and lung function test,107 in cities and towns,91 in countrysides.43%took antibiotics,18% used corticosteroids,33%used Theophylline,17% choseβ2 receptor stimulant,24% took antihistaminics,24% used chinese traditional medicine,11% used nothing.The differences between cities and countrysides:The use of antibiotics,corticosteroids,theophylline and chinese traditional medicine has statistical significance,corticosteroids are used common in city and antibiotics,theophylline and chinese traditional medicine are the major drug in countrysides. The choice of antiasthmatic drugs is affected by income level and educational level of asthmatics.2. The education levels and income of asthma patients affect the choice of drugs.Conclusions:The therapeutic condition of asthmatics in Jinan is not very good, nonstandard application of antiasthmatic drugs.community health service has a direct bearing on the health, prevention and cure of diseases, popularization of health knowledge.
