Objective: To explore through this study: 1.The situation and drinking behavior of male patients with alcohol dependence of Qingdao city; 2.the evaluations were conducted on the society , family and psychological status of male patients with alcohol dependence and normal controls for the treatment of alcohol dependence.Methods: 1. Samples were divided into the group of alcoholics (observed group) and the group of normal controls (controlled group) ; 2. Two groups were investigated and tested by Self-Made General Personal Information Statistical Table,Drinking Behavior Statistical Table,Eysenck's Personality Questionnaire(EPQ),Symptom Check List -90 (SCL-90),Coping Style Questionnaire(CSQ),Emotional - Social Loneliness Inventory(ESLI),Social Support Rating Scale(SSRS),Family Environment Scale (FES); 3. The results of two groups were compared.Results: 1.There was no significant difference on age, sex and nationality , years of education, smoking between the observed group and the controlled group (P>0.05), but there were significant difference on occupation and marital status between the two groups (P <0.01); 2. There was no significant difference on the average age of first drinking between the observed group and the controlled group (P>0.05) ;3. The scores of the observed group were higher than the controlled group on Extrovision-Introvision(E) (P<0.01),Neuroticism(N) (P<0.05)and Lie(L) (P<0.05)of Eysenck Personality Questionnaire (EPQ) , but there was no significantly difference on Psychoticism(P).; 4. In the observed group,the total score and factorial scores of Depression,Anxiety,Hostility,Paranoid of Symptom Checklist -90 (SCL-90) were significantly higher than those of the controlled group(P<0.01),the observed group had higher scores of Somatization,Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder,Interpersonal Sensitivity,Psychotic and other factorial(P<0.05),and there was no significant difference in Fear score(P>0.05);5. In the observed group,the factorial scores of Fantasy,Backoff of Coping Style Questionnaire (CSQ) were higher than those of the controlled group(P<0.05),and there was no significant difference in scores of Solution,Rationalization,Remorse and Help(P>0.05); 6. In the observed group,the factorial score of Loneliness was higher than that of the controlled group(P<0.01),and there was no significant difference in other factorial scores(P>0.05);7. In the observed group,the factorial scores of Cohesion,Expressiveness and Intellectual—Cultural Orientation were lower than those of the controlled group(P<0.05),but the factorial score of Conflict was higher(P<0.05)and there was no significant difference in other factorial scores.Conclusions: 1.Male patients with alcohol dependence in Qingdao city have social dysfunction, especially at the professional and marriage,Specific for the unemployed persons increased and the increase in divorce. And can access and use of social support to reduce. 2. Male patients with alcohol dependence in Qingdao city have family dysfunction, in addition to reflecting the increase in divorce rates, but also reflected the adverse aspects of the family environment. 3. Male patients with alcohol dependence in Qingdao city have characteristics of drinking behavior. The drinking habits of those who are not side dish more, drinking more types of liquor, drinking increases the current non-communicative. 4. Male patients with alcohol dependence in Qingdao city have some personal psychological abnormalities: anxiety, depression, hostility paranoia, loneliness and other psychological problems increase, and immature coping styles, treatment must be given in.
