Study Of Mandibular Advancer Functional Appliances For Treatment Of Angle's Class â…¡ Malocclusion

Objective:To evaluate the treatment effects of class II division I malocclusion with deep overjet by Mandibular Advancer functional app-liance.Methods:One puberty class II division I patient (female,aged 9 years) with the overjet 9mm was treated with Mandibular Advancer functional applianceResults:After treatment, ANB,Wits,Overjet and H angle were reduced by 2.1°,1.6°,7.10mm and 3.9°,respectively. SNB and soft tissue profile angle were increased by 1.7°and 3.21°,respectively. Molar-relationship and overjet of the incisors were improved, esthetical index became normal or close to normal.Conclusion:The relationship among forehead,lip and chin become more harmonized after the Mandibular Advancer functional appliance was used to put forward the mandible.
