Objective:The Pendulum and straight wire technique to be discussed about the treatment of children class II malocclusion.Materials&Method:A female case with class II was selected from Orthodontics department at Dalian Friendship Hospital in2012, who was14years old, of Han nationality. Bilateral molar Class II relationship; the left canine lip inclination; upper arch crowding8mm, lower arch crowding4mm; the midline was shifted to the left3mm. Profile was good&conducted clinical examination for patient, then model analysis&finally caphalometric analysis for patient. She was treated by using pendulum with grind, first it was not clear, then again with straight wire technique and correcting technique maintained clearance, flat teeth row&adjusting molar relationship. Analysis of pre and post-treatment lateral radiographs was done in a week. Measurements were selected from Beida and Tweed analysis, so as to observe the changes from pre-treatment to post-treatment.Result:The course of orthodontic treatment is21months. Comparing the changes between treatment:analysis of comparative measurements:FMIA crease1°, lower front teeth had nearly the normal overbite coverage; the degree of SNB creasing, mandibular retraction changing. After orthodontic treatment upper and lower dentition was normal overbite and overjet coverage, the bilateral molar relationships was neutral, facial profile improved; the patient and her parents were satisfied. Conclusions:The case used Pendulum making the molar distal side, then with straight wire technique, on the basis of non-extraction, the effect is very significant.
