Objectives:The purpose of this study is to find out the Chinese medical etiology of diminished ovarian reserve. It's designed to investigate patients with diminished ovarian reserve and healthy women through questionnaire or scale of the living habits, pressure of work, psychological problems and etc. We analyze the collected data to find out the differences between the two groups. And the results can be taken as guiding rules to slow down the rate of women's diminished ovarian reserve and to do the work of women's health care clinically.Methods:This study is a cross-sectional study. We choose the patients who go to the clinic according to the criterion of diminished ovarian reserve, on the other hand we choose healthy women with normal ovarian reserve. The questionnaire of Chinese medical etiology is designed according to the book of Chinese etiology and pathogeneses. To investigate the patients with questionnaire of Chinese etiology, Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale, Life Events Scale. Make up a data base of the collected data with EPI Data and analyze the data with SPSS 13.0 to find out the correlative Chinese medical factors of diminished ovarian reserve. Results and conclusion:The results of univariate logistic regression analysis show that age, marriage, history of pelvic surgery, multiple pregnancies, multiple births, multiple abortions, an unhappy family, frequent sexual activities, hair dying, the younger one in brothers or sisters, anxiety, depression, family life events, and negative life events are risk factors of diminished ovarian reserve. They may increase the risk of diminished ovarian reserve. While higher education background, taking cold baths in summer, slightly moist living environment, drinking coffee, sleeping well, getting start to work are protective factors of diminished ovarian reserve, and they may reduce the risk of diminished ovarian reserve.The correlation of negative life events, anxiety and depression is positive, and it is moderate (0.5
