The Application Of The No-Tumor Procedure In The Treatment Of Functional Extending Of The Radical Operation On Rectal Carcinoma

Objective:With the development of science, the application of technology equipment and the renewal concept of operation, the operation on colorectal cancer has become increasingly mature. Under the condition of reducing local a rate and raising the 5 years survival rate, how to improve the quality of life, and protect urination and sexual functions are scholars' research. Especially about how to reduce the cancer pervasion and transference in human factors have gradually been seriously think highly. Our study is to explore the feasibility of functional extending of the radical operation on rectal carcinoma on curing the cancer and improving life quality.Method: From September 2004 to September 2005, 68 patients (45male, 23 female) with rectal cancer were performed with FERR for Rectal Cancer in the Department of Gatric Colorectal and Anus Disease, the Third Affiliated Hospital of Jilin University. There are 29 patients'caner on the peritoneal reflection and 39 below, The staging of Dukes: 10 cases were stage A, 31 cases were stage B, 27 cases were stage C. Other 72 (48male, 24 female) patients are used as control group by operating TME. There are 31 patients'caner on the peritoneal reflection and 41 below, The staging of Dukes: 11 cases were stage A, 33 cases were stage B, 29 cases were stage C. Stage D did not operate. A stage did not chemotherapy, B, C courses for 6 cycles. All statistics are for the first time surgery patients. Comparing the postoperative local recurrence rate, recurrence site, time to recurrence ,2-year, 5-year survival rate ,and protect urination and sexual functionsResult:(1) There was not statistically significant in sex, age, pathohistological type and differentiation degree of colon carcinoma Dukes staging in two groups,P>0.05.(2) There was not statistically significant in operating time, blood loss, postoperative exhaust time ,farting time and in-hospital time in two groups,P>0.05.(3) There were significant differences in the recurrence of a tumor in 2 and 5 years,P<0.05,group A is better than group B.(4) There were not significant differences in reducing urinary and male sexual dysfunction.Conclusion: The no-tumor procedure has significantly decreased the risk of loco regional recurrence and could improve the quality of life if using in Total Mesorectal Excision for Rectal Cancer.
