An Effect Analysis Of Surgical Therapy For Intrahepatic Recurrence Of Primary Hepatic Carcinoma Underwent Radical Operation

Objective To analyze the effect of survival rate of patients who underwent different therapies for intrahepatic recurrence of primary liver carcinoma (PLC) after radical operation, to evaluate the effect of surgical therapy for intrahepatic recurrence of primary liver carcinoma after radical operation.Methods We retrospectively analyzed the clinical data of 115 patients who underwent radical surgical of intrahepatic recurrence of primary liver carcinoma in the affiliated tumor hospital of Guangxi Medical University, between January,1,2000 and December,31,2007. The data contain:38 cases who underwent hepatectomy again (hepatectomy group); 15 cases who underwent local ablation (local ablation group);62 cases who underwent transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE group). We compared tumor-free survival rate at the end of the 1-, 3- and 5- year of 38 cases who accept hepatectomy again and all patients (115) who underwent hepatectomy first time; compared survival rate at the end of the 1-, 3- and 5- year between hepatectomy group, local ablation group and TACE group. Results Tumor-free survival rate at the end of the 1-, 3- and 5- year is no difference obviously (P > 0.05) between 38 cases who accept hepatectomy again and all cases (115) who underwent hepatectomy first time; survival rate at the end of the 1- , 3- and 5- year between hepatectomy group and local ablation group is no difference obviously (P>0.05). survival rate at the end of the 1- , 3- and 5- year between hepatectomy group and TACE group is difference obviously (P<0.05).Conclusion Accepting operation again is the first choice when patients underwent radical surgical of primary liver carcinoma of intrahepatic recurrence. when patients can not accept operation again of intrahepatic recurrence, they can select local ablation therapy or (and) TACE therapy, which can elevate living level and prolonging life.
