Objective:To investigate the blood uric acid level of Beihai,s inhabitants, and to explore the correlation between hyperuricemia and blood biochemical examination, hypertention. Methods: All the clinical data of 5400 Beihai,s health physical examina -tion inhabitants were analysed. The health physical examination include to detect blood uric acid (BUA),blood pressure (BP),Body Mass Index(BMI) and urolithiasis .Results:The mean of SUA was (420.82±87.53)μmol/L in male and (309.09±71.20)μmol/L in female .The prevalence of hyperuricemia was 47.81% in male and 24.40% in female. The blood uric acid level and the prevalence of hyperuricemia in the male was significantly higher than in the female(P<0.05 and P<0.001).In the male, the prevalence of hyperuricemia declined with age, and, was significantly variation between 20~40 age young groups and above 50 age groups(P<0.05);in the female, the prevalence of hyperuricemia increased with age, and was significantly variation between the young groups and the old groups(P<0.05). The prevalence of BMI and BP increase was significantly higher in hyperuricemia group than in normal group(P<0.05~0.01).The prevalence of hyperuricemia and urolithiase was not variant .But, the mean of SUA was significantly higher in urolithiase group than in normal group(p<0.005). Conclusion:The mean of SUA and the prevalence of hyperuricemia in Beihai's Inhabitants were Higher than other districts in China and China Taiwan. In the male, the prevalence of hyperuricemia declined with age; in the female, the prevalence of hyperuricemia increased with age. There were high prevalence of overweight and hypertension in hyperurieemia group. The mean of SUA was higher in urolithiase group than in normal group. They should be paid more attention by people extensively.
