Objective:Bronchial asthma is one of the most common chronic respiratory diseases in the world. It is chronic airway inflammation involving eosinophils, mast cells and T lymphocytes and other inflammatory cells. Repeated asthma attack caused serious physical and mental damage to individuals and the community and create a very heavy financial burden. Avoiding asthma triggers is the most simple and effective means to control asthma attack. Therefore, the understanding of risk factors for asthma have great significance in quick control of asthma symptoms and reducing asthma attacks. Methods:In this case-control survey we collected asthma patients in the second hospital of Jilin University (including emergency, respiratory, pediatric outpatient and ward) and the same period in the health section examination of the non-asthmatic people from November 2008 to June 2009. We analyzed disease-related factors by questionnaire survey method. Of all risk factors for asthma, a single factor, multi-factor analysis are used to analyze the risk factors for asthma. In this survey, there are 260 cases of asthma, including 110 asthma patients in children (0-14 years) and 71 people (15 to-59-year-old group), and 79 patients in elderly (older than 60 years old). In all these patients, there are 139 male and 121 female, male to female ratio is about 1:1.Results:The incidence of bronchial asthma is more in evening and in autumn. In this survey most patients are with mild to moderate asthma attack, with an average 1-2 times each year. More than half of the patients had been misdiagnosed, and only 36.92% for regular treatment, 24.62% have been subjected to bronchial asthma health education, less than 1 / 4 patients had allergy testing. The result suggests the rate of misdiagnosis in patients with asthma is high, and the standardization of treatment and guidance of bronchial asthma are imperfect.Genetics, body type, smoking, environment, infection are the risk factors for bronchial asthma, take note of the above aspects in order to reduce the incidence of asthma, and it has important practical significance for the prevention of asthma.Conclusion:1: The incidence of bronchial asthma is higher in childhood.2. There is no significant difference among different age groups for the incidence of bronchial asthma.3. Mild and moderate onset of asthma is more frequent, and the onset of bronchial asthma is more in evening and in autumn.4. The rate of misdiagnosis in patients with asthma is high, and the standardization of treatment and guidance of bronchial asthma are imperfect.5. Genetics, body type, smoking, environment, infection are the risk factors for bronchial asthma.
