Objective:To analysis of before and after nutrition intervention on nutritional status related Vitamin A,Zinc of Medical Students aged from 18 to 25 in LanZhou area,so as to primary discussion on Adequate intake of Vitamin A,Zinc of people aged 18-25.Method:Medical students took the nutritional survey(including dietary survey,physical measurement,and clinical examination of deficiency disease,laboratory detection of nutritional level);after that,179 Medical students was gave nutrition education and(or) nutrient supplements.Results:Grain and tuberous crop were the main food of the object,their food types were more complete,and the dietary ingredients basically meet the needs.The intake of vegetables,fruits, fish,meat and poultry categories,milk were low.Heat nutrients were reasonable,but fat close to low-limit,the average intake of dietary protein met the basic needs,but the protein type was based on Cereals and other sources of vegetable and came from beans category and animal products accounted for 35.0%;after intervention,the diet tends to reasonable.22.0%of male and 26.3%of female's vitamin A intake was over than RNI,and main derived fromβ-carotene,35%derived from animal food.After intervention,Vitamin A intake increased significantly(P<0.05).For dietary zinc intake,41%of male and 75%of female reached AI,15%derived from animal food.As to dietary Zinc intake,objects that cost more than 300 Yuan on food were better that those whose cost low than 300 Yuan(P<0.05).After intervention,Zincintake increased significantly(P<0.05).Average dark adaptation time of object was 21.23±4.75s,there has 44.3%of object whose dark adaptation time was lower than 30s.56.7%of object felt having good mental status,and 76.5%felt having good appetite.All of object,46.4%had no syndrome or physical sign on eyes, 53.6%had one or two syndrome or physical sign.24.2%of people had syndrome of xerosis cutis, and 1.2%had keratoderma,and 9.4%had cystitis.After intervention,Dry eye symptoms improved the most obviously(P<0.05).There was significant difference between male and female on vitamin A,Retinol binding protein(RBP),Zinc and Alk aline phosphatase(ALP)in blood(P<0.05).About 20.0%of people in sub-clinical lack of Vitamin A,and4.0%of people in the clinical lack of Vitamin A.4.0%of males and 9.48%of females lack of Zinc.There was significant difference between male and female on lack of Zinc(P<0.05).After intervention,the level of Serum Vitamin A was 42.52±18.06,the level of Serum RBP was 48.12±14.23,compared with pre-intervention there was a significant rise(P<0.05);The level of Zinc in blood was108.34±41.99,compared with pre-intervention there was significantly low(P<0.05).In pre-intervention,there was 91.16%of people of ALP in the normal range After intervention,there was 97.21%of people of ALP in the normal range of 97.21%.There was significant difference between befor and after(P<0.05).Adequate intake of Vitamin A,Zinc under Observation(nutrition education):when serum Vitamin A and Zinc in blood reached the end of observation,the intake of Vitamin A wasl2.12±7.73μgRE / kg.bw.d,Zinc was 0.20±0.07mg/kg.bw.d;when serum Vitamin A,Zinc in blood and dark adaptation reached the end of observation,the intake of Vitamin A was12.56±9.84μgRE / kg.bw.d;Zinc was 0.19±0.07mg / kg.bw.d.When serum Vitamin A and Zinc reached the end of observation,with a good dark adaptation and serum RBP and ALP were within the normal range, the intake of Vitamin A was12.33±11.28μgRE/kg.bw.d;Zinc was 0.19±0.07 kg.bw.d.Adequate intake of Vitamin A,Zinc under Observation(nutrition education and Vitamin A, Zinc added):Male:when serum Vitamin A and Zinc in blood reached the end of observation,the intake of Vitamin A was12.33±9.20μgRE/kg·bw·d;Zinc was 0.23±0.04mg/kg·bw·d;when serum Vitamin A,Zinc in blood and dark adaptation reached the end of observation,the intake of Vitamin A wasl5.10±10.03μgRE/kg·bw·d;Zinc was 0.23±0.04mg/kg·bw·d.When serum Vitamin A and Zinc reached the end of observation,with a good dark adaptation and serum RBP and ALP were within the normal range,the intake of Vitamin A was13.91±10.58μgRE/kg·bw·d; Zinc was 0.23±0.04mg/kg·bw·d.Female:When serum Vitamin A and Zinc in blood reached the end of observation,the intake of VitaminA was 13.84±11.90μgRE/kg·bw·d;Zinc was 0.21±0.07mg/kg·bw·d;when serum Vitamin A,Zinc in blood and dark adaptation reached the end of observation,the intake of Vitamin A was12.43±11.32μgRE/kg·bw·d;Zinc was 0.21±0.07mg/kg·bw·d.When serum Vitamin A and Zinc reached the end of observation,with a good dark adaptation and serum RBP and ALP were within the normal range,the intake of Vitamin A was10.53±10.29μgRE/kg·bw·d;Zinc was 0.20±0.07mg/kg·bw·d.Conclusion:The medical students of Lanzhou area had a certain degree of lack of Vitamin A and Zinc.The reason of this problem was mainly due to the intake of vegetables,fruits and animal food.After the comprehensive intervention,the nutritional status of Vitamin A,Zinc had improved. Can be seen;education and nutrition supplements had a positive effect on the nutritional status of Vitamin A,Zinc.Adequate intake of Vitamin A under co-added Vitamin A and Zinc was little higher than RNI values of the standard 2000 version of DRIs in people of 18-25 years old and Adequate intake of Zinc under co-added Vitamin A and Zinc was quite as AI values of the standard 2000 version of DRIs.However,becauseof the subjects were medical students,they had more knowledge of nutrition,and can gain nutrition information by many ways,they might pay more attention to their nutrition than other people,so they can have higher nutrition lever in body.in this case,The AI values that we obtained can be extended to other people of 18-25 years old was to be further explored.
