Objectives:To study the characteristic of PWV in middle-aged patients with essential hypertension.Methods:We analyzed the healthy check-up data, total 436 subjects, the age 40-87years old, in Qilu Hospital of Shandong University between Aug.2008 and Oct.2008. According to the 2005 China hypertension guidelines set standards, we divided them into high blood pressure group, the normal high-value group and the normal group. And in order to invest the different PWV among of them. All measurement data were presented as mean-SD(X±SD).Between the two groups compared using t-test.The comparisons among the three groups were conducted by analysis of variance. Multiariate analysis using multivariate stepwise regression analysis method, Age, heart rate, the history of hypertension, type 2 diabetes coronary history and history of stroke, systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure and pulse pressure, mean arterial pressure, and waist circumference, body mass index as independent variables, C-FPWV as dependent variable multivariate stepwise regression analysis. P<0.05 was considered as statisticalsignificance. Results:(1)General clinical data and CFPWV,CDPWV and CRPWV of male and female subjects of two groups of. Men and women between the two groups, height, weight, and body mass index has significant statistically significant(P<0.01), But other general clinical data:age, hip ratio, systolic blood pressure and pulse pressure, mean arterial pressure, and heart rate and CFPWV,CDPWV and CRPWV compared without apparent uses value of statistical significance.(2) Comparison of CFPWV,CDPWV and CRPWV value among normal controls, the critical value and hypertension group 3 groups. CFPWV between three group uses value pairwise comparison were statistically significant(P<0.01), CDPWV uses three pairwise comparison between values were no statistically significant, CRPWV uses in normal blood pressure groups and value between hypertension group compared to have significant statistically significant(P<0.01), but in normal blood pressure groups and the critical value between groups was statistically significant and hypertension and normal value between groups were not statistically significant.(3) Pure and simple hypertension (high pressure, high blood pressure, coronary heart disease (CHD) group merged merger 2-diabetes, hypertension,2-merger coronary heart disease and diabetes groups) between CFPWV,CDPWV and CRPWV value. All the pure and simple hypertension, CFPWV compared uses shares worth significantly statistical significance (P<0.01), and coronary heart disease and diabetes, hypertension merger with hypertension group merged have significant coronary group (P<0.01), value In the CDPWV value, hypertension group merged with coronary heart disease and diabetes and hypertension and pure only have significant mergers CHD group statistical significance (P<0.01), CRPWV-the only uses value comparison group merged with simple CHD group high pressure groups was statistically significant meaning compared, pairwise comparison between the groups were not statistically significant.(4) In CFPWV level as dependent variable, with age, body mass index (BMI), and waist/waist-hip ratio (WHR), pulse pressure (PP) and mean arterial pressure, and heart rate (MAP) and the history of hypertension, type 2 diabetes coronary history, and history of stroke for independent multi-element linear regression analysis (screening factors determine level of 0.05), and finally to age, body mass index, WHR,pulse pressure and heart rate and hypertension in the regression equation of history, the influence of CFPWV level-the significant factors for inverting links.Conclusion:In elderly patients with hypertension, a normal blood pressure increases, arterial stiffness, arterial elasticity. With the increase of the pressure drop, CFPWV artery elasticity, increased obviously. A simple hypertension patients, coronary heart disease and (or) 2-diabetes complications, hypertension patients dropped significantly, CFPWV artery elasticity increased obviously. In multivariate regression analysis and research, age, body mass index, waist-hip ratio, systolic blood pressure and pulse pressure and heart rate and the history of hypertension is CFPWV factors.
