ObjectiveQuality of life (QOL) can be viewed as a subjective, multidimensional concept , which places emphasis on the self-perception of an individual's current state. There is no consensus on a definition of QOL, although there is considerable agreement among experts that it encompasses social and psychological well-being as well as health status. The World Health Organization defines QOL as "an individual's perception of their position in life, in the context of the culture and value systems in which they live and in relation to their goals, expectations, standards and concerns". Thus, QOL is a broad-ranging concept that incorporates individuals'physical health, psychological state, level of independence, social relationships, personal beliefs, and their relationship to salient features of the environment. Undergraduate student is a special crowd, they must have the ability of good physiological, psychological and social adjustment to adapt study and work. Cultivate a positive outlook on life and a positive attitude towards life and improve the subjective quality of life of university students is a mental health education and life education important goals. In order to improve the quality of life of university students to provide a theoretical basis and practical methodological guidance, we study the impact of quality of life factors that contribute to the ongoing practice of targeted mental health education and life education. To evaluate the aspects of quality of life and health-related QOL,the Division of Mental Health of the WHO initiated a project in more than 20 countries to develop a generic QOL instrument—the World Health Organization Quality of Life-100 item. (WHOQOL- 100) WHOQOL-100 scale innovation is a systematic and comprehensive evaluation of vital health-related risk factors. We use the scale to make up for previous lack of studies that exist for the comprehensive assessment of quality of life to provide a more reliable basis. ObjectiveTo survery the status of quality of life and its influencing factors among undergraduates in Daqing City univeysity and to provide evidence for intervention countermeasures ,we investigated the undergraduate students'quality of life who are reading in the city of Daqing.MethodsIn January 2009 to July 6 Daqing, Using stratified cluster random sampling method, we extract one class per grade from one to four grade for the unit. According to the amount of 110% of the sample ,1200 Students who were from six colleges in Daqing city were asked to fill in WHO,s Quality of Life(WHOQOL-100) and the self-made"influential factors questionnaire"Variable were set as whole life quality, general health situation and the 6 fields of life quality, including the field of physical, psychological field, the independence of the field, the field of environment, social relations and spiritual areas of the field of 24 in six areas of the 100 questions. WHOQOL-100 scale in the various fields and aspects of the scores are positive score, the higher the score, the better the quality of life. All scores were processed statistically with software of spss 13.0 for windows.ResultsTotal quality of life in WHOQOL-100 and heath status mean score was 56.56 ,lower that of than normals, From high to low scores, the six areas scores were independence area, social relationship area, psychological area, physiological area, spirit area, environment area; In the area of independence and spirit, there were no significant differences among the scores of students from different grades(p>0.05),but there were significant differences among the scores of students from different grades in the area of social relationship, psychological, physiological, and environment(p<0.05),there the senior were lower than the other grades. the undergraduate students'was lower than the others ages', the quality of life from different gender in the areas, such as physiological area, independence area and spirit area don't have the statistical significance(p>0.05).But in psychological area and environment area, males'are higher than females('p<0.05). In social relationship area, females'are higher than males'(p<0.05); In the area of physiological, independence , social relationship and spirit there were no statistical significance(p>0.05)between the undergraduate students'quality of life who were from different area. But in physiological area and social relationship area, the difference of the quality of life between college students who were from different places have the statistical significance(p<0.05). In physiological area and independence area, the difference of the undergraduate students'quality of life who are from different family economic status don't have the statistical significance(p>0.05),but in physiological area, social relationship area, environment area and spirit area the difference of the undergraduate students'quality of life have the statistical significanc(ep<0.05). There were cognate risk factors still affecting the quality of life., that was, bad habit and way of living: among the students there are fatigue, negative perception, sleep disorders, uneven study opportunity, high pressure of study, lack of physical exercise, high pressure of employment, poor, dependence of medicine, sexual correlative habit, lack of mental belief, tension of personal relationship, environment inadaptation, figure and appearance and social security.In more extensional factors, such as new information, knowledge, skills acquisition opportunities, there was no significant difference between college students and the general population (P> 0.05) ; But in the other 23 areas there were significant differences between college students and the general population(P <0.01), 11 areas of all, such as pain, discomfort, positive feelings, ideas of memory, self-esteem, negative feelings, disability, social support, satisfaction, social security, housing, environment, recreation participation, college students were higher than normal level; In the other12 areas such as energy ,fatigue, sleep, rest, body and appearance, activities of daily living, medical treatment of drug dependence, ability to work, personal relationships, sex life, source of income, medical social security, environmental conditions, traffic conditions, college students were lower than the general norml level. ConclusionsWe can make the follow conclusions With the survey of Quality of Life in University Students in Daqing City1. The total scores of life quality of university students was lower than that of general population. From high to low scores, the six areas scores were independence area, social relationship area, psychological area, physiological area, spirit area, environment area;2. There were differences among college students who came from different grades, different gender ,different place and different economic status of the family .And the life quality of senior students was lower than the other grades; in the psychological field, the field of social relations, quality of life of university students of urban origin source of university students was higher than student in rural areas. In the psychological field, the social field and environmental field, the spirit of the area, the per capita monthly income of 1,000 yuan or more students, the quality of life higher than the monthly income below 1,000 yuan.; psychological field, the field of environment quality of life of male college students than female students, social relations, quality of life in the field of female students than male college students.3. There were some extensional factors influencing the life quality of college students , such as energy and fatigue, sleep and rest, body and appearance, activities of daily living, medical treatment of drug dependence, ability to work, personal relationships, sex life, source of income, medical social security, environmental conditions, traffic conditions. And the results showed that college students are lower than the general normal level with the above 12 factors...
