Evaluation Of Therapeutic Effect Of Deep Electro-acupuncture At Tian Shu (ST 25) For Treatment Of Slow Transit Constipation

【Purpose】According to the clinical research of deep electronic-acupuncture at Tianshu point for treatment of colon slow transit constipation,the effect of main symptoms of slow transit constipation for the treatment is observed,and make clear further the curative effects and safety of the treatment to slow transit constipation.【Methods】60 STC patients in accordance with diagnosis standard were divided into deep-needled group and normal-needled group at random.The treatment is given 4 times a week,the needles are retained for 30 minutes.4 weeks make up one coruse of treatment,observe the effect during one course in a row,and follow-up the patients at twelfth and twenty-forth after the treatment.The defecation frequency of the main index of two groups was observed respectively before and after treatment,as well as minor index:the laborious drgree of defecation,the incompleteness feeling of defecation,bellyache,belly distention,diarrhea and fecal incontinence.And record the untoward effect of the patients during the course and at first week after the course and fecal routin and conventional stool plus occult-blood of the patients,evaluate primarily the safety of the deep-needled therapy.【Results】1.Deep-needled group:recovery rate is 40%,significant rate is 33.3%,effective rate is 23.3%,invalid rate is 3.4%,the total effective rate is 96.6%;normal-needled group:recovery rate is 6.7%,significant rate is 20%,effective rate is 46.7%,invalid rate is 26.6%,the total effective rate is 73.4%.2.The total effect of treating STC through needling deeply Tianshu point is better than the normal-needled group.3.The recent and long-term effect of treating STC through needling deeply Tianshu point excelled the normal-needled group.4.All of the 60 STC patients do not appear the untoward effect of diarrhea,bellyache,borborygmus,fainting,hematoma and abdominal cavity infection during the course and at the first week of the treatment.The conventional stool plus occult-blood of the patients before and after the treatment are all normal except 1 case of hemorrhoids hematochezia.【Conclusions】The clinical observation indicate:needling the Tianshu point deeply for the slow transit constipation produce healing effect quickly,the symptoms make better clearly,the recent and long-term effect are all better than the normal-needled group.And needling Tianshu point deeply do not cause serious abdominal cavity infection,it is safe and feasible.
