BackgroundUp to date, cerebralPalsy (CP) is One of the major diseases causing children Physical disabilities. It can lead to a lot of complications, such as Mental retardation, Epilepsy, Abnormal behavior, Visual or auditory barriers, etc. Besides of these, it can cause the secondary problems of bone or joint. Hip problems in cerebralPalsy are second only to equinus foot deformity. Children with CP are usually born with normal hips. The hip deformities in the patient with total body involvement may progress to painful dislocations which can affect gait, hygiene and the ability to sit for longer periods,et al. ftherefore,it is very important that Children with CP was early intervened by treatment measures. ObjectiveTo explore the sensitive measures of the hips in children with cerebral palsy ,observe the growth condition of the hips and explore the ralative factor affecting the hip development of celebral palsy children, who could not walk.MethodsRadiologoc measures of acetabular index(AI), migration percentage(MP), center-edge angle and neck-shaft angle(NSA)were compared between cerebral palsy group(n=57) and normal children group(as control group)(n=30).Results1.The differences in MP and NSA were significant between cerebral palsy group and control group(P<0.01).2.The prevalence rate of hip subluxation was 20.45% in the children by age 5 with spastic diplegia, who could not walk.3.The prevalence rate of hip subluxation in the children between age 3 and 5 was more than which in the children by age 3 who could not walk. This difference was statistical significance (P<0.05).Conclusion1 .The migration percention of hip can be used as sensitive measure of the growth condition of hips.2. The prevalence rate of hip subluxation was 20.45% in the children by age 5 with spastic diplegia, who could not walk.3.Age is the relevent factor affecting the hip development of celebral palsy children.
