As the population of China ages, with the frequency of traffic accidents and life expectancy increasing, the prevalence of bone and joint diseases is also increasing year by year. The hip joint is the most important joint of the human body. The incidence of disease and necrosis is high here.In clinical practice, prosthesis implantation patients with necrotic or diseased bones are often treated with hip arthroplasty, which has been proved to be very effective by patients and doctors. The biological and mechanical characteristics of the hip joint before and after replacement should be consistent. If they are inconsistent,it will often cause a series of complications such as bone atrophy, prosthesis fracture and loosening, which will affect the service life of the prosthesis. Therefore, the measurement of the key quantitative parameters of the hip joint is very important,as it directly determines whether the prosthesis can be used for a long time.In this paper, the CT image segmentation and three-dimensional quantitative analysis of the hip joint are studied, focusing on the segmentation of the diseased hip joint and the three-dimensional automated measurement and analysis of the anatomical quantitative parameters of the hip joint. The main outcomes are as follows:(1)A pre-processing method based on morphological enhancement is used to improve the uneven bone density and low contrast caused by the stenosis and lesions of the femoral head and acetabulum and to provide help for follow-up processing.(2)Adhesion of the femoral head and acetabulum often occurs for the diseased hip joint, which makes the accurate segmentation of the hip joint very difficult. An improved Otsu double threshold and watershed fitting circle segmentation algorithm is proposed.First, the hip joint is initially segmented using the improved Otsu double threshold algorithm, combined with the shape information of the femoral head, and the watershed combined with the fitting circle method is used to complete accurate segmentation of lesions and adhesions of the hip joint.(3)A vector method for acetabular fossa boundary extraction based on mark point optimization is proposed, which can accurately extract the acetabular fossa from the acetabulum. This method solves the difficulty and inaccuracy of extraction caused by the irregular shape of the acetabular fossa. The problem. On the basis of the traditional Hough circle,an improved Hough circle method is proposed.Combined with the characteristics of the acetabulum,it can adaptively determine the radius of the Hough circle and improve the accuracy of the fitting circle.(4)According to the current practices hip joint parameters are manually measured in a two-dimensional plane, which is subjective and has large errors.A spatial parameter measurement method combining multiple CT images is used to compare and analyze the data measured by the doctor Compared with the traditional single-sheet two-dimensional plane measurement method, the three-dimensional measurement method is more reliable, more intuitive, avoids human subjective factors, and results in more accurate results. The use of the VTK tool to visualize the segmentation results and measurement results in three dimensions, means that doctors can more intuitively and vividly observe the specific information of the results in the space.
