Objective To get the essential data for artificial hip replacement and internal fixation of proximal femur fracture by measuring femur neck-shaft angle to guide the design and selection of prosthesis and implant of internal fixation in hip surgery,reduce the financial burden of health care.Methods From November,2012 to July,2016,293 bilateral hip radiographs(500 hips)were collected from department of radiology Fujian Provincial Hospital for the study,among them,there were 84 male left hips,100 male right hip,150 left female hips and 166 female right hips.Informed consent was obtained from all subjects.the shooting range included the hip joint and at least 2/3 of the proximal femur.The images were measured with picture archiving and communications system.Finally,we used PASW Statistics18.0 to analyze the data.Result The result was expressed by mean±SD,adult femoral neck-shaft angle in Fujian Province was 130.17°±4.19°,among them,left side of males was 131.98°±3.81°,and the right side was 131.60°±3.84°,left side of female was 129.20°±3.62°,and the right side was 129.28°±4.57°.There was no significantly difference compared to left side and right side of the neck-shaft angle in males,there was also no significantly difference compared to left side and right side of the neck-shaft angle in males,but there was significantly difference compared to males and f.At the same time,there was significantly difference compared to other areas in China and foreign countries.Conclusion Adult femoral neck-shaft angle in Fujian Province are significantly different from Westerners,and different people in different areas in China are significantly,too.In addition,the data of the study is reliable and it can provide the reference value for design of prosthesis,internal fixation of fracture and artificial hip replacement and internal fixation of fracture.
