| Toutongding Capsule contains Szechwan Lovage Rhizome,Dahurian Angelica Root,Chinese Louage,Tall Gastrodis Tuber,Red Peony, etc,which has the effects of promoting blood flow,removing blood stasis,expelling wind , and dredging collaterals. It is mainly used to treat migraine of blood stasis type,which has symptoms with sudden and serious headache set on one or two sides,sometimes nausea and vomiting ,photophobia are accompanied. In the intermission,the patient can appearance normal.The disease is described as "wind syndrome of head" in Chinese Medicine theory,and characterised with long course and recurrent attacks .In the study,the critical pathogenesis is presuned as "wind" and "stasis",so, dispelling wind and removing obstruction in the meridians,promoting blood flow and removing blood stasis were designed as the therapeutic regimen. Some Pharmacological experimental study of this capsule were done,including the effect on migraine rat' vasoactive substances and migraine mice' neurotransmitter,the effect on blood stasis rat model' hemorheology index,and the effect on cerebral ischemia mice model,ect, to provid some experimental evidence for clinical practice.The result showed that The Toutongding capsule can degrade the content of SP and CGRP in plasma, degrade the content of NO in serum, it also increased the content of 5-HT in serum of reserpinizationed mice,dereased the number of apoplexy index and extended the survival time of cerebral ischemia mice model, inhibited the mice pinna swelling caused by xylene and rat toes swelling after injecting albumen,and lightened the mice pain caused by heat stimulation and chemical stimulation.Concluding the experimental results, we can infer that Toutongding capsule has an obvious effect of adjusting the vasoactive substance and neurotransmitter in migraime attack,promoting blood flow and removing blood stasis, improving the situation of cerebral ischemia. It also has the effect of antiinflammatory and analgesic effect. |
