| Objective To study clinical and pathologic characteristics and prognosis of patients with breast cancer. The aim is to guard the therapy plans for different ages. Methods The patients were all chosen from Dec.05 to Oct.08 in Xiangya 2st Hospital, separated into 2 groups: young group(≤35) and old group(>35).We analyzed with general status, ER and PR and C-erbB-2,tumor size,TNM stage, axillary lymph node metastasis and the prognosis between the 2 groups. Analyse the prognosis status with Kaplan-Meier curve. Results Invasive unspecial carcinoma was more likely to seen in breast cancer.Tumor size between the two groups had no significant difference(P>0.05), T2 cases were the most. In youth group III period incidence was significantly higher than that in old age group(P <0.05). The lymph nodes results showed that the youth group lymph node metastasis was significantly higher than that of the old group(P <0.05). ER and PR receptor positive rate between youth group and old group had no significant difference(P>0.05).C-erbB-2 positive rate of the youth group were higher than those in the old group(P<0.05).TNBC between the 2 groups had no significant difference(P>0.05). The survival rate in 3 years of the young group is lower than the old group. Conclusion Invasive unspecial carcinoma were the most common type. Stage II cases were more likely to be seen in breast cancer. No significant difference was found in ER,PR positive rate and TNBC rate between the young and the old.The youth group has following clinical features:more lymph node metastasis,C-erbB-2 positive high rate, and late stage than the old group, which could lead to a bad prognosis. |
