The Expression And Relationship Of E-cadherin, α-catenin And γ-catenin In The Squamous Carcinoma Of The Cervix

OBJECTIVE:To explore the expressions of E-cadherin,α-catenin andγ-catenin in the squamous carcinoma of the cervix and the relationship of their expressions with the biological behaviour of squamous carcinoma of the cervix.METHODS:We collected 60 cases of the squamous carcinoma of the cervix with pathologic diagnosis and detailed information,detected the expression of E-cadherin,α-catenin andγ-catenin in the natural cervix mucosa and the squamous carcinoma of the cervix tissue with SABC immunohistochemisty.RESULTS:The expressions of E-cadherin andα-catenin in the squamous carcinoma of the cervix had closed relationship with pathological differentiate degrees and the tumor infiltrated extent,their expressions have positive relations.The abnormal expression ofγ-catenin exist in cytoplasm and cell nucleus.Conlusion:E-cadherin,catenin andγ-catenin played important roles in the development,invasion and metastasis of squamous carcinoma of the cervix.E-cadherin andα-catenin may synergistic inhibit invasion and metastasis of squamous carcinoma of the cervix,γ-catenin may be the significance level of clinical diagnosis and criterion of biological behaviour.
