Purpose:To investigate the zinc content in prostate tissue combined with prostate-specific antigen(PSA) for the diagnosis of prostate cancer.Materials and Methods:To comply with treatment guidelines for prostate cancer prostate puncture indication system in patients with prostate biopsy,an organization dedicated power inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry(ICP-MS) determination of zinc content in prostate tissue,and the remaining tissues of conventional pathological examination.At the same time,the collection of serum PSA,the results of transrectal color Doppler ultrasound of prostate,prostate puncture pathological data results.Results:According to the results of pathology,the patients were divided into benign prostatic hyperplasia and prostate cancer group.All date are presented as X±S.The group of benign prostatic hyperplasia:PSA:6.69±5.92ng/ml,prostate Zinc:125.85±75.6μg/gwet.Prostate cancer group:PSA:68.39±59ng/ml,prostate tissue zinc content:54.47±32.69μg/gwet.Statistical analyses were performed using Cochran and Cox approximate t test.Values of p<0.05 were considered significant,prostate tissue zinc content comparison between the two groups was statistically significant. In this experiment,using serum PSA>4ng/ml as a single diagnostic indicator of prostate cancer,we found that 37.5%of benign prostate hyperplasia(BPH) cases were included.While using zinc content<80μg/g in prostate tissue as a single diagnostic indicator of prostate cancer,also included 30.7%cases of BPH.Combined prostatic zinc content<80μg/g with PSA>4 ng/ml,the false positive rate of the experiment down to 26%.If we just make use PSA>10ng/ml analysis,the specificity was 80%;solely with the Zn<80μg/g to an analysis of its specificity was 60%;and the joint analysis of these two indicators,and its specificity was 95%.According to a list of lines X~2 test,P<0.05,the three indicators of the specificity of diagnosis,there was a significant statistical difference,and the use of serum PSA>10ng/ml and Zn <80μg/g as a diagnostic indicator of prostate cancer than the use of a single serum PSA or prostate tissue Zinc has a higher specificity.Conclusions:The zinc content in prostate cancer was significantly lower than that in prostatic hyperplasia.Prostatic Zinc combined with prostate-specific antigen can improve the diagnosis of prostate cancer-positive rate.ICP-MS instrument is the determination of zinc content in prostate tissue of a reliable method.
