Objective: To campare and analyse the expression of prostate stem cell antigen(PSCA) and prostate specific antigen(PSA) in different prostatic tissues and the prostate cancer tissues at different Gleason score levels. Methods: PSCA and PSA expression of 51cases of prostate cancer,16 cases of prostatic intraepithelial neoplasm and 18 cases of benign prostatic hyperplasia were observed and analyzed by the SP immunohistochemical staining. Results:The difference of PSCA expression is significant between benign prostatic hyerplasia and prostatic intraepithelial neoplasm and prostate cancer (PC vs PIN UC=2.8291,P<0.005ï¼›PC vs BPH UC=2.0336 P<0.05),and its expression level increases in order of BPH,PIN and PC. Its expression level doesn`t increase in prostate cancer, with Gleason scores increasing. The difference of PSA expression level is significant between BPH, PIN and PC (PC vs PIN UC=1.030,P<0.05ï¼›PC vs BPH UC=2.048,P<0.05),but the level decreases in order of BPH,PIN and PC.Suppose the staining density "++" is postive, the check-out ratio of PSCA and PSA are different 52.9% and 49.0%,respectively.It isn`t significant by the pair-matching rank-sum test(UC=1.173,P>0.05). Conclusion: The difference of expression level of PSCA is significant between benign prostatic hyerplasia and prostatic intraepithelial and prostate cancer,it is possible for PSCA to become an important marker of the diagnosis of prostate cancer in Molecular Pathology and a hot point of research in the immunotheraphy of prostate cancer.
