| Objective: To study the changes of microcirculation bed and glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor (GDNF) in model for trigeminal neuralgia SD rats. Methods: 20 SD rats were randomly divided into 2 groups (operative groups and control groups). In the operative groups, an unilateral chronic constriction injury (CCI) was produced by placing loose chromic gut ligatures around the infraorbital nerve (ION); In the control groups, the ION was only exposed using the same procedure but not ligated. The changes of microcirculation and GDNF of trigeminal ganglion were observed by immunohistochemistry stain between the operative groups and control groups. Results: The microcirculation bed of operative groups reduces compared with the control groups. The microvessels of the trigeminal nerves included epineurial, perineurial and endoneurial vessel. The epineurial vessels run along the nerve's length and gave off branches, distributing along nerve bundle, to enter into endoneurium. The endoneurium contained only capillaries. Arteri ol ovenular anast omoseswere few in trigeminal nerve root. The distribution of microvessels in trigeminal nerve root was uneven. The number of microvessels in the medial portion was less than that of the distant. The GDNF increases in operative groups compared with the control groups.Conclusion:1.Microcirculatory blood regulation mainly depends on the epineurial and perineurial arterioles. The microcirculation of trigeminal nerve may play imprtant role in trigeminal neuralgia, and trauma of microcirculation obstruction of trigeminal nerve may lead to demyelinati on of the trigeminal nerve.2. The expression up-regulation of GDNF in trigeminal ganglion is related to hyperpathia, which indicates that GDNF plays a role in regulation of pain... |
