The Expression And Clinical Significance Of CD147 In Osteosarcoma, Giant Cell Tumor Of Bone And Osteochondroma

Objective:To evaluate the clinical significance of CD147 in Osteosarcoma,Giant Cell Tumor of Bone and Osteochondroma as indicators of immunohistochemistry,through investigating the expression of CD147 in varies kinds of bone tumor by immunohistochemistry technique.Methods:Use a standard S—P immunohistochemical staining procedure to detect the expression of 56 cases of Osteosarcoma,30 cases Giant Cell Tumor of Bone and 26 cases of Osteochondroma.Results:In the 56 cases of osteosarcoma,41cases were positive expression,the rate of positive expression is 73.21%(41/56). In the 30 cases of giant cell tumor of bone,10 cases were positive expression(JaffeⅠ1 case, JaffeⅡ,Ⅲ9 cases), the rate of positive expression is 33.33%(10/30). The expression of 26 cases of osteochondroma is negative.Significant statistical correlation of CD147 expression was found in either osteosarcoma or giant cell tumor of bone compared with osteochondroma.Significant statistical correlation of CD147 expression was also found in gradeⅡ,Ⅲof giant cell tumor of bone compared with gradeⅠ;The difference of CD147 expression between osteosarcoma and giant cell tumor of bone is significant. There was not relationship between the CD147 expression in osteochondroma and giant cell tumor of bone and the patients'sex and age. There was obvious relationship between the CD147 expression in osteochondroma and giant cell tumor of bone and the soft tissue encroachment.Conclusion:CD147 is no expressed in osteochondroma,high expressed in giant cell tumor of bone,higher expressed in osteosarcoma.The expression of CD147 in osteosarcoma is obviously higher than that of osteochondroma,and the difference is significant. The expression of CD147 in giant cell tumor of bone is also obviously higher than of osteochondroma,and the difference is significant. The difference of CD147 expression between osteosarcoma and giant cell tumor of bone is significant too.There was not relationship between the CD147 expression in osteochondroma and giant cell tumor of bone and the patients'sex and age. There was obvious relationship between the CD147 expression in osteochondroma and giant cell tumor of bone and the soft tissue encroachment. CD147 can be supplement parameter for determining malignant level and estimating prognosis in bone tumors.
