Objective: To assess the usefulness of Tissue-Selecting Therapy stapler (TST), by contrasting with M-M opration and PPH opration. Using this newly devised instrument, we can observe the curative effect in order to find out its merit and flaw, and accumulate material for thestudy of hemorrhoids. Methods: 90 patients with hemorrhoids were divided into therapy group and control groups.Control groups were divided into group A and B.Therapy group were treated with TST opration ; Control group A were treated with M-M opration; Control group B were treated with PPH opration. Compare the curative effect, complications and treatment course and so on between the groups. Results: No difference in the postoperative prolapse, bleeding, defecation, urination among three groups (P> 0.05); the TST group has significant differences compared with two control groups on the duration of surgery, hospitalization time(P <0.05); in the postoperative anal pain, edema and bleeding in opration, there is statistical significance between TST group and M-M group(P <0.05), but similar between TST group and PPH group (P> 0.05).Conclusion: The three operation styles for prolapsed hemorrhoids and bleeding have similar effect. TST opration has shorter operation duration and shorter hospitalization time, less blood loss, less postoperative pain, less anal edema, less impact of urine after operation. There is no impact in anal function, and the curative effect is satisfaction.
