Objective:In this study,through the drainage tube at the initial total hip arthroplasty in the application of comparison,the observation of drainage whether surgery will bring about significant benefits,or would result in bleeding and blood transfusion rate of increase or lead to the emergence of the wound-related complications.For the drainage tube in total hip arthroplasty in the application of the necessity of providing a scientific basis.Methods:This study used prospective,randomized,controlled trial of parallel design methodology,in September 2007～February 2009,the standard initial screening of total hip arthroplasty in patients 80 cases were randomly divided into drainage group and non-drainage group.By observing two groups preoperative and postoperative patients with hematocrit,thigh circumference Change the value of the number of cases of blood transfusion,hospitalization time and postoperative 3,6,12-month follow-up Harris hip score,and thus objective assessment of drainage tube in the whole hip arthroplasty the role.Results:The comparison of postoperative drainage group hematocrit value lower than that of non-drainage group,drainage group decreased hematocrit values and blood transfusion patients than non-drainage group were statistically significant(P＜0.05). Postoperative drainage-related complications such as hematoma,infection,drainage of fluid,such as the mouth than those in non-drainage group Example happened a few slightly more,but no statistical difference.Thigh circumference after two sets of values and no significant differences in length of stay in hospital.Harris score after the two groups gradually improve,the two groups after the group in December compared with the preoperative have a significant statistical difference(P＜0.01). 3,6,12 However,after twelve months of inter-group score is similar to Harris,no significant difference.Conclusion:At the initial total hip arthroplasty,the drainage did not give surgery result in significant benefits,but it will also lead to bleeding and blood transfusion rate of increase,at the same time also lead to the emergence of the wound-related complications;hold drainage tube does not will be affected after total hip arthroplasty in patients with rehabilitation exercises and functional recovery.We therefore propose to accept the initial total hip replacement in patients with postoperative drainage tube can hold.
