Objective:To investigate the expressions of 14-3-3σand HSP27 and their clinicopathological characteristics in colorectal carcinoma (CRC).Methods:Pathological verified,50 coloretal tissues(CRT),25 colorectal adenomas(CRA),25 non lymph node metastasis CRC(non-LNM CRC) and 25 lymph node metastasis CRC(LNM CRC) were detected for the expressions of 14-3-3σand HSP27 by immuno-histochemical SP(Streptavidin Perdcidase) method.Result:The positive expression rates of 14-3-3σwere 10%,36%, 58%in CRT,CRA,CRC,respectively.The expression of 14-3-3σin different groups was significantly different(x~2=25.560,p<0.001).Further pairwise comparison showed significantly different expression rates between CRA and CRT(x~2=7.421,P=0.006),CRC and CRT(x~2=25.668, P<0.001).No difference existed between CRA and CRC(x~2=3.227, P=0.072).The expression of 14-3-3σwas associated with age(x~2=7.059, P=0.008),tumor diameter(x~2=9.043,P=0.003) and LNM(x~2=4.023, P=0.045)(P<0.05),but was not associated with sex,differentiation and serous membrane invasion(P>0.05). The positive expression rates of HSP27 were 16%,20%,54%in CRT,CRA,CRC,respectively.The expression of HSP27 in different groups was significantly different(x~2=18.658,P<0.001).Further pairwise comparison showed significantly different expression rates between CRA and CRC(x~2=7.876,P=0.005),CRC and CRT(x~2=15.868,P<0.001). No difference existed between CRA and CRT(x~2=0.186,P=0.666).The expression of HSP27 was associated with LNM(x~2=3.945,P=0.047) (P<0.05),but was not associated with sex,age,differentiation,tumor diameter and serous membrane invasion(P>0.05).Conclusion:1.The abnormally expressions of 14-3-3σand HSP27 are significantly associated with the incidence of LNM.2.14-3-3σwas associated with age,tumor diameter and LNM.3.HSP27 was not associated with sex,age, differentiation,tumor diameter and serous membrane invasion.4.There was no association between 14-3-3σand HSP27 in CRC.
