ObjectiveTo explore the effects of the society mentality factors on the infants sleep, such as parental fostering behavior, infant temperament, maternal mind health, and provide ideas for making out intervention measures to improve infants sleep quality.MethodsRandomly samples 102 healthy infants aged 1~12 months, which have sleep problems from department of children health care in women and children hospital of Changsha city as cases and 105 healthy infants who did not have sleep problems as control. 207 eligible infants' mothers filled in Revised Infant Temperament Questionnaire, SCL-90, commonly things and infants sleeping Questionnaire designed by oneself.Results①In the 102 infants with sleeping problems group, the number of infants with frequent night waking , difficulty falling asleep and sleeping rhythm turbulence were 83, 39, 25 respectively.②In the parental feeding pattern, the breastfeeding have had significant differences between the two groups (X~2=14.66 , P<0.01) . The taking food times were 3.54±1.29 in the breastfeeding infants by night versus 2.33±1.03 in formula milk feeding infants, which have had significant differences (t=5.084, P<0.01). The breastfeeding infants had high rates of taking food by night, and appeared sleep problems easily, compared with the other feeding fashion. The number of falling asleep without help in the sleep problems group was 1 versus 20 in the case-control group, which have had significant differences (X~2=22.828, P<0.001). Taking food times under night in the sleep problems group were 3.06±1.18 versus 2.18±0.93 in the case-control group, which have had significant differences (t=5.93, P<0.001).③There were significant differences of temperamental types between the two groups (X~2=21.537, P<0.01). The difficult infants appeared sleep problems easily. Compared with the control group, the infants with sleep problems have had higher scores in some temperamental dimensions, such as activity level, rhythmicity, approach or withdrawal, adaptability, quality of mood ,which showed significant differences (P<0.01).④SCL-90 results showed: the maters with infants of sleep problems have had higher scores of the body symptom, depression, anxiety, fear, crankiness, lunacy , sleeping and living than those of normal group, which have had significant differences between the two groups (P<0.05).⑤The pregnant maters' sleep quality have had significant differences between the two groups (X~2=4.381, P<0.05).There were no significant differences in maternal culture degree, familial type and house environment (P>0.05).⑥The logistic regression analysis was performed the related factors with infants sleeping problems, the results showed: Falling asleep without help was protection factor for infants' sleeping problems; main risk factors were the times of infants taking food, infants' negative emotion and maternal depression.Conclusion①The frequent night waking was a main sleep problem during babyhood.②The breastfeeding infants had high rates of taking food by night, and appeared sleep problems easily, compared with the other feeding.③The difficult infants appeared sleep problems easily. Temperamental latitudes exhibited high activity level, the poor rhythmicity and adaptability, strong avoidance, negative mood, which of the infants appeared sleep problems easily.④The maters had characteristic of the body symptom, depression, anxiety, fear, crankiness, lunacy, et al. Which of the infants appeared sleep problems easily.⑤The pregnant maters' sleep quality was poor, whose children appeared sleep problems easily.⑥Falling asleep without help was protection factor for infants sleeping problems, Primary risk factors were the times of infants taking food, infants' negative emotion and maternal depression.
