Objective: To investigate the efficacy of urethral pressure profile(UPP) in chronic prostatitis. Methods: 64 cases of chronic prostatitis patients were selected randomly 32 cases as the observation group, the other 32 cases as the control group. Under the conditions of ambient temperature 25℃, calming 30 min, basal heart rate, all of the cases were had uro-dynamic search(UDS) including urine flow rate, filling cystometry ,intravesical pressure-flow rate ,urine pressure profile with implement of F8 Dual-chamber urethropiezometric pipe, perfusate of 37℃sodium chloride, dabbling speed of 50ml/min。First inserting the urethropiezometric pipe, draw off the residual urine in bladder, then have UPP after zero setting in the supine position zero level of symphysis pubis with dabbling speed of 5ml/min and pulling speed of 2m/s。Second ,insert the urethropiezometric pipe again ,then have filling cystometry and urethrocystometry , recorder the data of maximum urethral pressure (MUP), maximum urethral closure pressure(MUCP), prostatic urethral length (PUL),urine flow rate ,et al。Observer group were given levofloxacin tablets and mesylate doxazosin GITS tablets, the controlled group were given watchful waiting treatment by changing bad habits, the two groups were 3 months treatment, both treatment period were 3 months。3 months later ,to review the NIH-CPSI , EPS , ultrasonography , uro-dynamic search including urine flow rate, filling cystometry , intravesical pressure-flow rate ,urine pressure profile, and record the data。Statistically analysis the data Before and after treatment。Results:(1) two groups of patients with urethral static pressure distribution platform in the prostate in the treatment group significantly reduced the length of the platform and even disappear, and the control group were significantly different (P <0.05).(2) Observer Group NIH-CPSI score, the number of leukocytes in prostatic fluid before and after treatment were significantly different (P <0.05), the control group before and after treatment and no significant difference (P> 0.05). (3) in the treatment of two groups of patients before and after the ultrasonography changes in prostate volume was no significant difference (P> 0.05).Conclusion: (1) static urethral pressure measurement can be used to assess the efficacy of chronic prostatitis. (2) the occurrence of chronic prostatitis symptoms LUTS after the mechanism is high-pressure urethra. (3)α-blockers can relieve symptoms and no change in volume.
