Effects Of Surgical Therapy And Conversative Treatment On Moyamoya Disease

Objective:Through using different therapeutic method(expectant treatment and operative treatment) to moyamoya disease patients were hospitalized in our hospital from November 2002 to August 2008,and long-term retrospective calling on their clinical data,we can control study the diference between therapeutic effect of expectant treatment and operative treatment.Methods:Total 35 moyamoya disease patients were hospitalized in our hospital from November 2002 to August 2008.They were divided into two groups:in groupâ… there were 15 patients,who received surgery therapy; in group 11 there were 20 patients,who only received conservative treatment.Their clinical and image data were retrived and retrospective calls on were carried out for all patients transversely from September to December 2008.Results:In groupâ… ,the rate of re-haemorrhagia is 3.15%,the rate of Ischemia symptom is 4.93%;in groupâ…¡,the rate of rehaemorrhagia is 6.15%,the rate of ischemia symptom is 6.13%.There are no significant diference between surgery and conservative treatment in present convalescent condition,rate of re-hemorrhage and rate of ischemic symptom occurrence.
