Objective:Syndrome differentiation and treatment of Xu-shi(Deficiency and Excess ) are the way of thinking in treating refractory chronic deseases .It embodies the characteristics of syndrome differentiation of Tradition Chinese medicine (TCM),and treating by TCM has the good effect to chronic refractory disease. In this paper, gastric dysplasia (Dys) for example, we evaluated the TCM c1inical effect of concurrent treatment of Biao-Ben. Methods: At the National Natural Science Foundation Project "gastric dysplasia (Dys) Xu-Shi (Deficiency and Excess )correlation syndromes of structural characteristics associated with serum levels of tumor-associated substances Dynamic Research (No: 30572383)",we selected 150 cases with Xu-Shi (Deficiency and Excess )correlation syndromes, the treatment group(66 cases) which are belongs to 4 types of xu-shi correlation syndromes be treated by concurrent treatment of Biao-Ben , compared with the control group of Chinese Patent Drug(42 cases),and Western medicine control group (42 cases), all the course of treatment was six months. Then evaluated the clinical efficacy in concurrent treatment of Biao-Ben after the treatment. Results: The clinical total effective rates of the treatment group was 84.85% ; the control group of Chinese Patent Drug and Western medicine control group separately were 64.29 % , 59.52 % , the total effective rates of comparison after treatment showing there were significant (P <0.01). Stagnation of liver and stomach qi combine/concurrent asthenia of both qi and yi ,which has the best effective rate in the four types of Xu-Shi (Deficiency and Excess )correlation syndromes, 88.24%; Improvement in symptoms: Treatment group to improve the gastric swell, stomach pain, heartburn, fatigue, caoza (gastric discomfort), etc. has significant effect, with the two control group after treatment compared to treatment group to improve the gastric swell , heartburn, gastric discomfort has better than the two control group, and there was significant difference (* P <0.05) ; The treatment group and two control group, the pathological effect of the total effective rates were 69.69%, 50%, 47.62%, compared three groups were statistically significant (P <0.05).Conclusion: The total effective rates of the concurrent treatment of Biao-Ben was higher than the two control groups. It reflects the method of diagnosis and treatment of TCM and the good efficacy of interventing Dys.This is why we Persistently emphasis the concurrent treatment of Biao-Ben of Dys in this paper .
