Objective:To study the mechanism of YI-FEI-KANG-XIN capsule in patients with chronic pulmonary heart disease and to explore the effect of the serum level of matrix metalloproteinase-1(MMP-1).To explore clinic curative effect of YI-FEI-KANG-XIN Capsule to the Chronic Pulmonary Heart Disease.Method:The 60 cases of patients with chroinc cor pulmonale(CCP) were grouped as Therapeutic Group and Comparative Group by stochastic proces -s.These two groups of patients with CCP were given the routine treatmen -t.Comparative Group would not take any Chinese medicine while Therapeutic Group take YI-FEI-KANG-XIN Capsule.To compare the changes of MMP -1,blood gas analysis(PaO2,PaCO2,SO2),RVPEP/AT between Therapeutic Group and Comparative group.Result:Statistical significance in the total response rate of Therapeutic Group(93.33%) compared with the Comparative Group(70%)(P<0.05).After a course of treatment,the level of MMP-1,blood gas analysis and RVPEP/AT in Therapeutic Group were all significantly changed(P<0.001,P<0.01, P<0.01).The level of MMP-1,blood gas analysis and RVPEP/AT in the Comparative Group were also significantly changed(P<0.001,P<0.01, P<0.01).After the treatment,statistical significance in the improvement of MMP-1,blood gas analysis and RVPEP/AT of Therapeutic Group and Compara -tire Group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The research indicated that YI-FEI-KANG-XIN capsule could dramatically increas curative effect,improve hypoxia,decrease the level of MMP-1,delay the formation of pulmonary vascular remodeling and the development of pulmonary hypertension,therefore achieve the purpose of treatment of chronic pulmonary heart disease.
