Objective: To analyse the clinical feature of young group hemiation of multisegmented lumbar intervertebral disc(HMLD) and observe the surgical results of young group HMLD treated by limited decompression by crept enlagement and disc removal method and analysing the correlative affecting factors. Method: 40 cases of young group HMLD treated by the the limited decompression and disectory surgical method in recent 6 years were collected in this study. According to JOA 15 score method, scores of preoperation, one-week postoperation and the end of follow-up were writed down to analyse the surgical results. Cases were divided into two groups (excellent group and good group) according to the rate of melioration to analyse the factors that affected the surgical results. Result: JOA scores of preoperation, postoperation and the end of follow-up were increased obviously. It showed that the surgical results of limited decompression by crept enlagement and disc removal methmod were resultful. Patients in the excellent group showed yonger ages, greater preoperative JOA scores, shorter duration symptoms. Conclusion: the surgical treament on young group HMLD with limited decompression by crept enlagement and disc removal method is effective. The patient age, duration of symptoms, preoperative JOA scores can influence the treatment results.
