Clinical Effects Of Combination Of Ba Zhen Decoction And Huo Xue Hua Yu Decoction On Patients With Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy

Objective:To investigate the effect of BZD associated with HUHYD on treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy (diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy, DPN) patients who are with well blood glucose controlled.Methods:Those cases were diagnosed as diabetic peripheral neuropathy patients and were collected in the period from July 2007 to Feburary 2009,patient and out-patient in the hospital. 86 patients were randomly assigned into three groups. The difference of three groups in terms of gender,age and duration of DPN was not significant (P > 0. 05). Treatment of the three group of patients were routine diet control, exercise appropriate,as experimental service before the hypoglycemic drugs, of glycemic control in a more satisfactory level (fasting glucose≤7.0mmol/L, 2hPG≤8.0mmol/L). On the basis of basis treatment, the western Medicine group was given Methycobal tablets 0. 5mg, orally three times a day; Treatment in the control group on the basis of taking BZD, fired as Chinese soups, and drink one pack a day; the group that synthetically traded by Chinese Medicine was given BZD, fired as Chinese soups, and drink one pack a day,at the same time, it was given HXHYD , fired as Chinese soups under 40～50℃, and immersed feet for 15～20 minutes, two times a day. Four weeks for a course of treatment, Continuout using fou two courses.Results:1. The compared changes of the three groups clinical symptoms and signs : Before treatement, there were no difference of symptom integral levels among these groups(P>0. 05). After treatement, the main symptoms and signs of the three group were significantly improved(p<0. 05),and the group that synthetically traded by Chinese Medicine was better than the other groups, (P<0.05).2. The compared changes of the Blood rheology among these groups. Before treatement, there were no difference among them, but after treatement, whole blood viscosity, high shear, low shear, Plasma viscosity and hematocrit before and after treatment were significantly different (P < 0.05) and there were significant difference among them(p<0.05);3. Before treatement, there were no difference of AUCINS among these groups(P>0. 05). After treatement,all of three groups AUCINS levels decreased compared before treatement (p<0. 01), and there were significant difference among them(p<0.05);4. Whole blood viscosity, high shear, low shear, Plasma viscosity and hematocrit before and after treatment were significantly different (P <0.05). After treatment, the group that synthetically traded by Chinese Medicine was better than the A group and the B group(P<0.05).5. There were no evident side effects of the three groups, and there were no evident abnormity of laboratory examination all of them. Conclusion:BZD associated with HXHYD can improve motor and sensory nerve conduction velocity in patients with diabetes peripheral neuropathy nerve function, can improve blood hypercoagulability of blood rheology which whole blood viscosity high and low shear, Plasma viscosity and hematocrit, and other indicators were markedly lower. The study showed that synthetically traded by Chinese Medicine was better than the single Methycobal -Take orally and the Chinese Medicine-soak. It had signifieant effeet for the DNP, worthy of further explore their clinical value.
