[Objective]To analyze risk factors and developmental characteristics of hyponatremia in postoperative patients with aneurysm.[Cases and Methods]Search cases during October 2005 to March 2008 of Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital affiliated with Zhejiang University to find aneurysm cases that have been performed clipping or coiling, using statistical model to analysis possible risk factors of of hyponatremia, count patients of hyponatremia at different stages, and calculating the cumulative frequency of the clipping group and the coiling group and compare their difference.[Results]A total of 71 cases were selected into our study.Possible risk factors including age, gender, preoperative GCS score, with or without vascular disease, mode of operation performed, location of aneurysm, whether or not it belongs to emergency operation.Only preoperative GCS score is related to the occurrence of hyponatremia(P=0.01).There are two peaks of developing into hyponatremia after operation in 1-3 days and 9-10 days respectively. The average time of developing into hyponatremia of the clipping group and the coiling group were 15.61(±0.46) days, 8.39(±0.5) days, there are significantly different(P<0.05).[Conclusion]Postoperative hyponatremia of aneurysm may be induced by antidiuretic hormone(ADH) and natriuretic, which increase and peak in 1-3 days, 10 days after operation.
