Objective:to expolre the clinical festures,diagnosis and treatment methods of acute superior mesentric arterial embolismMethods:We retrospectively summarized the clinical data of 14 patients with superior mesenteric artery embolism who were treated in the second affiliated hosipital of zhejiang university School of Medicine betwee 2000 and 2009,analyse their main clinical feature,diagnosis,main treatment and prognosis.Results:11 males and 3 females in all 14 patients;14 cases have abdominal pain,13 cases have nausea and vomiting,6 cases have occult blood or melena,8 cases have light abdominal tenderness,2 cases have muscle defended,1 case has abdominal muscular tension and rebound tenderness.14 cases have leucocyte rise,10 cases have CRP rise, 6 cases have D-dimer rise.7 cases have past heart diseases;6 cases have past hypertension,9 cases have past operations.8 cases were diagnosised by CT and CTA, the others were confimed by operation and autopisy.Thrombolytic therapy 5 cases,4 cases died;operation therapy 9 cases,postoperation death occurred in 4 cases and 5 cases have healedConclusion:The disease offen occurs in patient combining with heart diseases hypertensions and past operations.their main clinical features are abdominal pain,nausea and vomitting,occult blood,melena and abdominal tenderness.Leucocyte CRP and D-dimer always rise.it has important diagnostic significance to choose CT and CTA.Operation is still the main methods of treating this kind of disease at present.The total morbidity is high and the prognosis is bad.
