Exploitation And Research Of Inventory For Evaluation Of Quality Of Life In Chinese Children Survived After Malignant Solid Tumors

ObjectiveTo exploit a new inventory of QOL for survivors with malignant solid tumor in Chinese children which must be suitable to China's national conditions.The inventory which can be evaluated in the clinic will come up to appropriate reliability and validity.MethodsThe inventory of QOL for survivors with malignant solid tumor in Chinese children will be drawn up by the normal programmed decision.A total of 210 children(164 healthy children and 46 children suffering from malignant solid tumors) completed this new scale.The psychometric properties of the inventory such as internal consistency,content validity,discriminate validity and construct validity were evaluated.ResultsA new scale that includes a total of 35 items has been completed.Four domains such as physical,emotional,social,school comprise this new scale.We have put out 239 scales and 217 scales were been withdrawed.The rate of scale's callback is 90.79%.Meanwhile,210 scales are intact.So the availability of the scale is 96.77%. All domains' Cronbach alpha ranged from 0.519 to 0.696.The scores of all domains of healthy children were significantly higher than that of children suffering from malignant solid tumor(P<0.001).The results of correlation analysis showed that there was higher correlation between items and its belonged domains than that with other domains.The results of confirmatory factor analysis indicated that structure of scale was basically same with theoretic model,but the fit index is lower than normal.Conclusion:A acceptable psychometric properties of the the Quality of Life Inventory in Survivors with Malignant Solid Tumor in Chinese Children was indicated.This new scale can be used in healthy-ralated quality of life research for Chinese children.But some items of the scale need to be further improved.We could evaluate responsiveness of the scale by further experiment and repeated measurement.
