Objective: The study is to investigate the relationship between the expression and the clinicopathological factors of tumor-associated gene NDRG-1 (N-myc Downst ream Related gene1),WWOX (WW domain-containing oxidoreductase) and P53 in Gastric carcinoma expression. Methods: Immunohistochemical staining methods were used to respectively detect the expression of NDRG-1, WWOX and P53 gene in 31 cases of Gastric carcinoma tissues and 15 cases of normal stomach tissues. Results: WWOX,NDRG-1 in Gastric carcinomatissues demonstrated obvious low expression, there existed significant statistical difference comparing with normal tissue (P <0.05). And the two demonstrated close relationship with tumor invasion depth, lymph node metastasis (P <0.05). WWOX and the degree of differentiation of cancer tissue were correlated (P <0.05), while NDRG-1 and the degree of differentiation of cancer tissue had no correlation (P> 0.05).The expression of P53 (mutant) in Gastric carcinomatissues was significantly higher than that in normal tissues, there existed significant statistical difference comparing the two (P <0.05), and its expression and the degree of differentiation cancer tissue, invasion depth, lymph node metastasis were closely related (P <0.05). The expression of the above three genes had no obvious relation with the patient's age and gender (P> 0.05).WWOX and NDRG-1 in Gastric carcinomatissues were positively related (r = 0.561, P = 0.001); while the two and the expression of P53 gene demonstrated significantly negative relation (WWOX with P53 group: r =- 0.411,P = 0.022;NDRG-1 and P53 group: r =- 0.360, P = 0.047). Among NDRG-1,WWOX and P53 gene, two and more than two demonstrated 17 cases of abnormal expression (54.8%), expression of single abnormal gene or normal expression were 14 cases (45.2%), in the aspect of the degree of differentiation of Gastric carcinoma, invasion Run-depth and lymph node metastasis, the two had statistically significant differences (P <0.05).Conclusions: WWOX, NDRG-1, P53 (wild type) gene are all tumor suppressor gene, and the three have obvious synergistic action in the generating, developing and transferring process of carcinoma ventriculi. Therefore, the joint evaluation of its function has more important clinical significance.
