Objective: To explore the expressions of p-ERK and Ki-67 and the correlation between them in patients with laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC).Methods: The expressions of p-ERK and ki-67 were detected by the immunhistochemical method in 28 specimens with prccancerosis of larynx(26 specimens with papilloma of larynx and 2 specimens with karatosos of larynx),65 specimens with laryngeal carcinoma and 30 specimens with vocal cord polyps. Results: The positive rate of p-ERK expression was 58.4 %(38/65) . The positive expressions of p-ERK were associated with the clinical stage and clinical classification, not with the lymphnode metastasis. The positive rate of Ki-67 was 76.9 % ( 50/65) and had a significance in different clinical stages and lymph node metastasis, no significance in different clinical classifications. The expression of p-ERK had a positive correlation with those of Ki-67 in LSCC(rs=0.476,P<0.001).Conclusion: The expression of p-ERK in LSCC the clinical stage, histological differentiation was positively correlated. Prompted ERK1 / 2 over-activation of laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma and malignant potential and possible development is closely related to the detection can be used as an objective indicator of invasiveness. In addition with lymph node metastasis of LSCC tissues without lymph node metastasis of LSCC , p-ERK protein expression rate of the trend has significantly increased.
